Read My Story

I was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. My father died three weeks before I was born. My mother, who is my biggest role model, raised myself and my older brother and sister as a single mother. My mom remarried in 2002 after fifteen years of being single. I thank God for my mom, my step-father Rich, and for the people they are and love they've shown me.

I graduated from Central Christian College of the Bible with a B.S. in general christian ministry in 2008 after beginning college at a community college in Montcalm county, Michigan, where my parents live. During my college years I served as a leader with Praying Pelican Missions during my summer vacations. While youth ministry was my focus going into college and I saw myself serving in church ministry vocationally, it was exciting to see God work through my life and my involvement in Praying Pelican Missions.

It's awesome to see God's hand at work through the transition stages in my life. While in college, I met my wife, Emily, while serving on a mission trip. I moved to Minneapolis, MN after school, accepting an invitation to serve in a full time capacity with PPM. I jumped at the chance to be closer to Emily and begin a new phase in my life. From Wisconsin to Michigan to Missouri to Minnesota to Oklahoma and back to Minnesota (all while traveling to and from Jamaica, Belize & in between), God has given me the chance to establish friendships and grow my faith through clear phases of life.

Emily and I got married during the summer of 2010  and moved to Tulsa, OK after she graduated from Bethel University with a B.S. in nursing. We moved back home to Minnesota in December of 2011. Emily continues to work as an RN at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN and is continually involved with PPM ministry. Emily got her master's degree through The College of Saint Scholastica and is now a nurse practitioner (FNP). I graduated from Liberty University in 2013, getting my masters in organizational management & leadership. We also have the privilege of serving in church ministry at Edinbrook Church. We are excited to see what God has in store for us as we continue to serve him through impacting the world spiritually and physically and sharing God's love with others.

After spending nine years serving full time with PPM I transitioned to full time real estate and worked for builders selling new construction from 2016-2019. During that time I also had a crazy adventure called a carcinoid lung tumor which left me with a wicked scar after thoracic surgery and an amazing story to tell. God led me into a different career direction in 2019 and I am now the owner of a Christian Brothers Automotive (another long story).

We love spending time with family. We are blessed with two wonderful children (Evan- born 7/6/2015 and Elliana- born 7/21/2018). We now have 3 nephews and 2 nieces. We love to run, rollerblade, bike, ski, and generally be outside enjoying Minnesota's bipolar weather. We make yearly trips to Colorado to ski and we have tendencies to get ourselves in "over our heads" in many situations.
