My brother, Josh, brought his youth group down from Iowa. On this final evening at the Mizpah Baptist Church, our team put on a church service with pastor Johnny Helton delivering an amazing message of salvation. They youth drama team performed this human drama depicting Jesus' victory over death and 4-5 people came forward and accepted Christ. Powerful stuff and an awesome way to end my summer in Jamaica!

Our team that worked on the Galloway home in early June from 1st Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA poses for a picture as they finish their week of work and ministry. They got a ton accomplished and the home is near completion in August of 2011! The Galloway's will have a new safe, dry, and comfortable place to live very soon!

This is a picture of the new addition at the Deeside Basic School. The building will double the size of their facility. The roof is now up and the floor is poured. The windows and doors may even be in at this point, but it will surely be used for the school year beginning in September of 2011.

         Wow, the summer blew by. I hoped to blog once a week and I didn't really blog at all. I was able to keep a journal of my personal thoughts and experiences, of which I'm grateful for. In summary, the ministry in Jamaica this summer went very well. Let me highlight a few things that happened.         We had a couple teams serve in the Deeside area. I had a couple pictures on my last blog of the Deeside Basic School and the Hastings Primary School, along with a photo of the Galloway home. We've nearly finished each of these projects. One of our teams from PA donated what should be the last of the funding needed to complete the home for Mr. and Mrs. Galloway. The school buildings in Deeside for both schools (Basic school and Primary School) should be ready to use for the school year beginning in September!
